l his retirement in 2003. A personal letter from the senior vice president director of agency sales at the time noted the number of awards Bob had earned and stated, "Your truly professional business style and your highly ethical behavior have served you and the company very well for over 31 years." Bob knew great joy, fun, and friendship singing with the Chordbusters and the Bend in the River Barbershop Chorus for 31 years, as well as singing in the Chords-R-Us Barbershop Quartet, who delivered singing valentines each year and also walked in the Quad-City Times Bix 7 annual road race several times, singing to people along the way. He deeply appreciated the fellowship of the after-glow times after concerts and traveling to contests with the chorus members and their wives. His singing and fellowship joy also included the choir at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport. He was blessed to sing one last time with them as recently as August 2026. Bob is survived by daughter Janelle Finke (Jeffrey) of Cedar Falls, IA, and son Darin Bloxham of Bend, OR, and grandchildren Kelsey Finke, Kayla Finke, Cassidy (Dustin) Pankey, and Camerin (Baya) Bloxham. Bob's family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the congregation of Zion Lutheran Church for always keeping Bob part of them, with special thanks to Doug Kalkwarf, Cary Scott, and Pastor Clark for their gracious care and connection, and also to his Cedar Valley Hospice team. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. preceding the service, with a lunch following at the church. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, IA.
