Jimmy Lee Warner

Jimmy Lee Warner, 64, of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on November 1, 1961, to Jim and Linda (Fettinger) Warner. After graduating high school, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country, including active duty during the Gulf War. He retired in 2001 with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Following his military career, Jimmy continued his dedication to service by participating in military funeral honors and remaining an active and committed member of the VFW until his passing. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Jim Warner; his mother Linda Fettinger; his grandson, Joe Choate Jr. (Jessica); and his great granddaughter, Aras Garland (Jessica Garland). He is survived by his biological daughters, Melissa (Shawn) Garland and Jessica Warner, as well as his adoptive daughters, Tearsha Logston and Jaylyn Warner, and his siblings Michael Warner, Dee Jay Warner, and Melinda (Benjamin) Mayfield. ndchildren, including Melissa's children--Ethan Boyer, Brittany, Blake, Sara, and Jessica Garland; Jessica's children--Monica Woods, Bradley Woods, and Gage Choate; and adoptive daughter Tearsha's children--Zander Logston, Noah Fleener, and Hazel Fleener. He was proudly looking forward to becoming a great grandfather as his granddaughter Sara is pregnant with a new baby. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 12:00pm to 3:00 pm at Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 3:00pm Wednesday with Pastor Bobby Cox officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
